I am as frustrated as you are by a certain someone’s attitude towards religion. Obviously, I am not a religious individual, but I understand how important faith is to those with deeply held beliefs. The attitude that if you teach a child to believe in God that you are essentially raising them ignorant and shouldn’t be allowed to teach them at home makes me want to start punching faces.

Honestly, I want to say to her, “Honey, this is why people don’t like atheists.”

As long as you agree that the FSM creation story ought to be taught on an equal footing with evolutionary theory, it’s all good

I agree. It’d be the same as people trying to say only their religion can be taught- and we all know how well that goes over!
